The Moose Lake Area Fire District serves the City of Moose Lake and Moose Lake Township. We have been a department for over 100 yrs. We also provide emergency services to the townships of Windemere and Silver giving our department a responsibility area of 108 square miles. We are a rural department located near the Interstate 35 with two major highways passing through our response area. We are an all volunteer fire department with 27 members currently responding to an average of 400 emergency calls per year. We train for structure fire suppression, vehicle crashes, we have the jaws of life as well as other extrication tools at our disposal. We also respond to ice, water and ATV rescues. Being a rural community right in the middle agriculture area we respond to wild-land fires as well. We have several members trained to respond to medicals calls in our area when help is needed
